CHAIRMAN OF THE MEMBERS' COUNCIL
Mr. Vu Quang Dong was appointed as Chairman of the Members' Council of VCBF in April 2024. Previously, Mr. Dong held the position of CEO and was a Member of the Members' Council of VCBF from July 2017 to April 2024.
Mr. Dong was appointed as the Executive Deputy Head of VCB Treasury and Markets Division in April 2024. He had been working at VCB since 2002 before being the CEO of Vietcombank Securities Company (“VCBS”) from 2012 to 2017 and CEO of VCBF from July 2017 to April 2024.
Mr. Dong holds a Doctor of Financial Economics, a Master of Economics from Georgetown University and Hanoi National Economics University, a Bachelor of Economics from Hanoi University of Foreign Trade.
VICE CHAIRMAN OF THE MEMBERS' COUNCIL
Mr. Avinash Satwalekar was appointed as Vice Chairman of the Members' Council of VCBF in April 2024. He previously held the position of Chairman of the Members' Council of VCBF from July 2017 to April 2024; and the CEO and CIO of VCBF from May 2012 to July 2017.
Currently, Avinash is the President of Franklin Templeton Asset Management (India) Private Limited. Before that, he was the Country Head of Malaysia and CEO of Franklin Templeton Asset Management (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd.
Mr. Satwalekar holds an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, USA. He is a member of the CFA Institute and a member of the CFA community in the USA.
MEMBER OF THE MEMBERS' COUNCIL
Mr. Christian Bucaro has served as a Member of the Members’ Council since June 2023.
He is currently the Head of Wealth for Franklin Templeton Investments Asia. Before this posting, he was Chief Executive Officer of BNP Paribas Asset Management Singapore.
Mr. Bucaro holds a Master of Science degree in Investment Management from Cass Business School, UK.
MEMBER OF THE MEMBERS' COUNCIL
Ms. Hong Nhung became the Member of the Member’s Council of VCBF in April 2024. Ms. Nhung was the Vice Chairwoman of the Member’s Council of VCBF from April 2022.
Currently, Ms. Nhung serves as the Director of the Retail Banking Division at Vietcombank. With over 10 years of experience at Vietcombank, she has received numerous national and official awards for her outstanding achievements in her work, including honorable distinctions from the Prime Minister, from Vietcombank's Chairman, and from the CEO.
Ms. Nhung holds a Bachelor's degree in Foreign Trade Economics from Hanoi University of Foreign Trade and a Master's degree in International Economic Relations from the University of Konstanz, Germany.
DEPUTY GENERAL DIRECTOR, MEMBER OF THE MEMBERS’ COUNCIL
Mr. Tan was appointed as the Deputy CEO of VCBF in February 2016.
Mr. Tan has worked at Vietcombank since 2001 and has experienced many different departments. Before joining VCBF, he had 5 years working as a fund manager and 9 years working as a portfolio manager at Vietcombank as Deputy Head of Investment Department.
Mr. Tan holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Leeds - UK and a BA in Banking and Finance from Hanoi National Economics University.
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Ms. Nga was appointed as the CEO of VCBF in April 2024. Before this role, she had served as the Deputy CEO and Chief Investment Officer of VCBF since March 2022, overseeing the marketing and investment activities of VCBF.
Ms. Nga was appointed as the CIO in July 2018. She supervised all investment activities and chaired the Investment Committee of VCBF. She was also a portfolio manager of the largest institutional mandate of VCBF and one of portfolio managers for VCBF’s mutual funds since the establishment of the first fund in 2013.
Ms. Nga holds a Master of Commerce (Advanced) degree with majors in Applied Finance and Professional Accounting from the University of Queensland, Australia. She also holds a Bachelor of Economics degree with majors in Accounting and Auditing from the National Economics University. She is a member of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute and a member of the CFA Singapore community.
CHIEF ADMINISTRATION OFFICER
Mr. Bukart joined VCBF in April 2006 and is based in the Ho Chi Minh Office.
Mr. Burkart has spent much of his professional career in banking in Vietnam, and had worked primarily for the representative office of BHF-Bank, which was part of the ING Group from 1998 to 2004. He was elected to leading roles in the German and European Business Associations. Prior to moving to Vietnam, worked with BHF-Bank in Frankurt for the banks' emerging market business in South Asia.
Mr. Burkart holds a Master degree in Economics from the University of Bonn, Germany.
CHIEF INVESTMENT OFFICER
Ms. Kim Anh was appointed as VCBF’s Chief Investment Officer in March 2024. Ms. Kim Anh joined VCBF in June 2006 as an Investment Analyst and progressed to oversee all aspects of the investment process for the three institutional private equity funds. She started managing fixed income portfolios and co-managing mutual funds in 2016 and became Deputy Chief Investment Officer in 2018.
Before joining VCBF, Ms. Kim Anh was a senior investment consultant with Invest Consult Group, a local investment consulting group, for six years.
Ms. Kim Anh holds a Master of Economics degree in Banking & Finance from a post-graduate program, jointly offered by ESCP-EAP and University of Paris Dauphine, a Bachelor of Applied Science, Property Economics degree from Queensland University of Technology, Australia.
CHIEF ACCOUNTANT
Mrs. Tran Thi Ha Linh joined VCBF in February 2006.
She has been appointed as Head of Operations Department of VCBF until May 2017. Since April 2022, she has been appointed as Chief Accountant of VCBF.
Before joining VCBF, Ms. Ha Linh used to work as a Controller at Vietnam Foreign Trade Joint Stock Commercial Bank Securities Company (VCBS).
Mrs. Tran Thi Ha Linh holds a Master's degree in Accounting - Auditing from the National Economics University (NEU) and a Fund Management Certificate issued by the State Securities Commission.
HEAD OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Mr. Pham Quang Hung was appointed as Head of the Business Development Department of VCBF in 2017. He is currently managing all business development activities of VCBF, including network and partnership, sales activities, customer service and marketing. He is also in charge of information technology infrastructure development of VCBF.
Mr.Hưng was a senior expert at Vietcombank Securities Company (VCBS) with 11 years of experience, of which 05 years as a Deputy Head of Human Resources and Training Department cum Assistant to the CEO of VCBS, 05 years as a Senior Specialist in Information Technology and 01 year as a Corporate Finance Consultant.
Mr. Hung holds a Bachelor's degree in information technology and a Master's degree in Finance, Banking, and Insurance
DEPUTY CHIEF INVESTMENT OFFICER
Mr. Vinh is currently Deputy Chief Investment Officer of VCBF and is co-managing equity portfolios and mutual funds.
Mr. Vinh joined VCBF in July 2008 as Investment Analyst in the Private Equity team. Vinh joined the Asset Management team at the start of 2014 and then became Head of Research and Assistant Portfolio Manager in October 2015. After pursuing his postgraduate education in Canada, he rejoined VCBF in late 2020.
Before VCBF, Mr. Vinh was an auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers Vietnam, where he covered clients in the food and beverage and insurance sectors.
Mr. Vinh holds Master of Business Administration degree from University of British Columbia and Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Economics of Ho Chi Minh City. Mr. Vinh is a member of ACCA (UK) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charter holder.
HEAD OF RESEARCH
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Linh joined VCBF in 2013 as an Equity Research Analyst in the asset management team, covering shipping, construction materials & construction service, utilities, oil & gas. Mr. Nguyen Hoang Linh was promoted to Associate Research Manager in August 2018 and has been serving as an acting Head of Research, supervising works of the Research Team since then. In July 2019, Mr. Linh officially became Head of Research.
Prior to joining VCBF, Mr. Linh worked for Sacombank in one year as a Credit Officer, responsible for the credit analysis in the sectors of industrial manufacturing.
Mr. Linh holds a Master of Science degree in Investment Analysis from the University of Stirling, UK, and a Bachelor degree in Finance and Banking from the University of Economics, Vietnam. He passed the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 2 examination in June 2013.
