Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) Group has officially set up and put into operation the Central Power Joint Stock Corp 2 (EVN CPC) on April 3, 2010.

The new company was established on the basic of re-organising the Power Company No 3 and receiving state-owned capital from Khanh Hoa Power Joint Stock Co and Da Nang Power one-member Co Ltd from EVN to parent company of Central Region Power Corp.

Located in Da Nang City, EVN CPC, with chartered capital of 4.5 trillion dong, was a one-member Co Ltd with EVN's holdings of 100 percent. The corporation has 34 company members with major business lines of producing and trading electricity, importing and exporting electricity and equipment.
