Work has begun on a US$100-million hotel and villa complex has been launched in the central city of Da Nang.
Located on Non Nuoc Beach, selected as one of the world’s most beautiful beaches in 2005 by the Forbes, the 15.4-hectares-plus Raffles complex will comprise a five-star hotel with 142 rooms and 39 villas, said Le Khac Hiep, vice chairman of the Ukraine-based Vingroup run by overseas Vietnamese.
According to the investor, which was formerly known as Technocom Corporation, they have contracted the UK-owned Wimberley Allison Tong & Goo Limited Company to design the project.
The project, expected to be completed in June, 2011, was transferred to Vingroup by the United Arab Emirates-based Kingdom Hotel Investment and the European Hotel Corporation.
Da Nang City is heavily promoting investment into the Non Nuoc Beach which is conveniently close to the Da Nang International Airport and three UNESCO World Heritage sites: the ancient town of Hoi An, the My Son Cham ruins and the former imperial capital of Hue.
