Le Van Tam, chair of management board in Lam Son Sugar and Sugarcane Joint Stock Co (coded LSS) stated that the company gained Q1 revenue of 280 billion dong, pre-tax profit of 79 billion dong. Shareholders also passed the 2010 business plan with targeted revenue of 1.25 trillion dong, pre-tax profit of 250 billion dong and after tax profit of 187.5 billion dong.
At the end of April 2010, LSS planned to start construction on Lam Son multi-functional hotel in Sam Son Town, Thanh Hoa province with total investment capital of over 60 billion dong. The project is expected to be completed after one year of construction.
According to the 2009 audited financial reports, the company's total revenue was posted at over 1.099 trillion dong, pre-tax profit of 211.9 billion dong and after tax profit of 163.3 billion dong.
