Vinamilk plans annual growth rate at 30pct

Listed firm Vinamilk (VNM) expected to achieve 2010 revenue growth of 30 percent against 2009 by enhancing business and production of dairy products, yoghurt, and fresh milk, expanding market to US, India, Middle East, Pland, Germany and Cambodia, said the general director Mai Kieu Lien.

 

Nguyen Minh Tung, executive manager of HCM City-based Tigers Alliance Capital Fund shared his opinion that Vietnam's demands for dairy products remained stable. Together with the economic development, the domestic consumers showed interests in health and use more dairy products. In the coming years, Vinamilk's market shares in Vietnam may increase up to 45 percent.

 

Vinamilk held domestic market share of 35-37 percent in 2008. The company started exporting dairy products to Iraq 12 years ago. In 2009, the company's combined revenue was posted at over 10.614 trillion dong, pre-tax profit of 2.732 trillion dong, increasing by 29.3 percent and 99.2 percent year-on-year respectively.

 

It is expected that VNM will officially put into operation the new beverage plant in order to increase revenue from producing products of fruit juice, herbal tea and soya milk.
