8.5tr dong used for upgrading Thanh Hoa-Ha Tinh road on National Highway No 1A

Prime minister Nguyen Tan Dung has appointed ministry of transport for approving the investment project of upgrading and expanding National Highway No 1A, Thanh Hoa-Ha Tinh project, from 2 lanes to 4-6 lanes. The project is required to be finished after 18 months, from the date of starting the first bidding package.

 

The total length of the road from Thanh Hoa to Ha Tinh to be included in the project is 131 kilometres. The project's total investment capital is estimated at about 8.5 trillion dong.

 

The prime minister has agreed in principle for applying bidding assignment method for bidding packages of consulting and construction works for this project, using the capital raised from transferring the warrants of charge collection for HCM City-Trung Luong Highway project and other advanced payment from state budget for upgrading and expanding the National Highway No 1A from Thanh Hoa to Ha Tinh.

 

After finishing the project, prime minister requires ministry of transport to cooperate with ministry of finance to work out methods of selling warrants for collecting road charges for the above mentioned project in order to submit to prime minister for approval.
